1. We look, we listen
Every framing job starts with a conversation in front of the work: its story, where it will hang, your budget. The right frame is born there.
The workshop
You don't stumble upon the Bernard Weber workshop by chance. You come because a photographer, a gallerist or a friend told you: “go and see Bernard”. And you park easily, for free, right in front of the carriage entrance.
Bernard Weber opened his first workshop in 1990. Word of mouth in the Brussels art world quickly did the rest: photographers came to value his rigour about the flatness of prints, galleries his punctuality before openings, artists his eye — that way of suggesting the frame you hadn't thought of, which then becomes obvious.
Now based on Rue de l'Orient, in the heart of Etterbeek, the workshop covers 500 m²: a fully equipped joinery, a large-format mounting table, a digital mat cutting machine, and hundreds of solid wood mouldings. Bernard and his assistant welcome artists, galleries and art lovers. Personal service, from the owner himself.

Planing, cutting, assembling: our integrated joinery allows custom profiles that few workshops can still make.
Mats are cut digitally: impeccable bevels, multiple windows, special shapes, in acid-free conservation board.
Dust hunted down, corners checked, hanging system fitted. The work only leaves the workshop when it is flawless, ready to hang.
We work by appointment, Tuesday to Friday. This lets us give every visitor the time they deserve, and charge workshop prices: you pay for the craftsmanship, not a commercial shopfront.
The best way to understand each other is to meet in front of your artwork. Call or write to arrange an appointment.
