Our speciality
Mounting on aluminium & Dibond: perfect flatness
Mounting (marouflage) on aluminium and Dibond has been the speciality of this Brussels workshop since 1990 — an artisan craft that has become rare in Belgium. For photography, it guarantees a flawless presentation; for artists, longevity. The proof: prints mounted on aluminium in the workshop in 1990 haven't budged.
Which substrate should you choose? Our honest advice
Not all substrates are equal, and we will always tell you which one suits your work and its exhibition venue:
- Aluminium — our recommendation: the most durable on every count, excellent quality that lasts for decades
- Dibond — a very stable composite of very good quality; its only weak point: more fragile than aluminium during handling
- Forex — we do not recommend it: an unstable material, however cheap. We would rather tell you straight.
- Reinforced Kapa — same reservation: unstable, only for temporary use
Mounting leaves no room for error
A poorly executed mount shows immediately: bubbles, lifting edges, distortions. And it is final: one trapped speck of dust and the print is lost. In the workshop, every print is mounted with more than 35 years of experience and extreme care, so you can enjoy it every day, with no bad surprises.
No compromise on quality: we only use materials that stay flat.
Our exclusive: the washable UV protection film
For works displayed without glass and handled frequently, we apply a washable UV protection film that filters ultraviolet light while preserving the original contrast and luminosity. The film we use exclusively has proven itself: applied since 1990 without lifting — whereas the films on the market today are designed to last 4 to 6 years, with an altered finish.
Finishes and hanging
Recessed subframe
An invisible frame on the back of the panel: the image floats a few centimetres from the wall. The gallery finish par excellence.
Float frame
The Dibond set in a floating wooden frame: the marriage of mounting and traditional framing.
Fixings & rails
Metal fixings, hanging bars, picture-rail advice: the work arrives ready to hang.

Common questions about Dibond mounting
Dibond or aluminium: which is the best substrate?
Aluminium is the most durable on every count: it is our recommendation for maximum quality (prints we mounted on aluminium in 1990 haven't budged). Dibond is very stable and of very good quality, but more fragile than aluminium during handling. We advise against Forex and Kapa: unstable materials, however cheap.
Dibond or classic framing for a photograph?
Mounting on aluminium or Dibond gives a contemporary presentation — no frame, no glass, perfectly flat. It is the most common choice of photographers and galleries for exhibition prints. Classic framing (mat + glass) better protects valuable prints. The two can be combined: a Dibond can be set in a float frame.
What sizes can you mount?
We mount prints up to 150 × 250 cm on our large-format mounting table. Tell us the size of your print and the substrate you have in mind — you will receive an estimate.
Do you print the photographs, and how long does it take?
No, the workshop does not print: you bring your print, or have it delivered to the workshop, and we mount it. Allow about 10 days for the work; rush jobs remain possible.
